Sonnenkraft versorgt Badner-Bahn-Remise
Am Dach der Badner-Bahn-Remise in Inzersdorf hat Wien Energie eine neue Photovoltaikanlage mit einer Fläche von insgesamt 375 Quadratmeter errichtet. Die Anlage am Dach spart jährlich etwa 45 Tonnen CO2 ein.
Die neue Anlage versorgt die technische Gebäudeausstattung des gesamten WLB-Standorts Inzersdorf, wie etwa die Beleuchtung, elektrische Tore und die eigene Waschanlage der Badner Bahn mit Strom. „Wien Energie bringt den Photovoltaik-Ausbau auf Schiene – für die Badner Bahn sogar im doppelten Sinn. Der öffentliche Verkehr ist genauso wie erneuerbare Stromerzeugung ein wesentlicher Baustein für mehr Klimaschutz in der Stadt. Ich freue mich, dass wir hier beides zusammenbringen“, erklärt Michael Strebl, Vorsitzender der Wien Energie-Geschäftsführung.
Umweltfreundlich Strom erzeugen
Solarenergie macht das Dach der Remise Inzersdorf zu einem kleinen Kraftwerk. Die 203 Photovoltaik-Module erzeugen umweltfreundliche elektrische Energie, die direkt in die Energieverteilung der Remise der Badner Bahn eingespeist wird. Unter idealen Bedingungen produziert die neue Photovoltaik-Anlage im Jahr über 76.000 kWh (Kilowattstunden) Strom aus Sonnenenergie. Umgerechnet könnte man damit rund 30 Wiener Haushalte ein Jahr lang mit Sonnenstrom versorgen. Überschüssige Energie, die für den Eigenbedarf der Remise Inzersdorf nicht mehr gebraucht wird, läuft direkt ins Netz zurück und kann anderweitig genutzt werden. Die Anlage am Remisendach spart jährlich etwa 45 Tonnen CO2 ein.
